How difficult is it tell the world about yourself? Extremely! Can’t believe I am lost for words….well almost. At the start of 2011 I went back to school as a mature age student to do a Bachelor’s Degree on Applied Social Sciences. I don’t see it as a change of life …yuk! I hate that expression, I see it as my stand on anti-retirement. Retirement is over rated and even if I could afford to retire and spend days holidaying overseas I like to think I would be a volunteer of some sort. I want to keep contributing my thoughts and knowledge to the greater community. I want my family to be proud of me as well, but above all else I want to make a difference, even if it only to one other being. Notice I said being?….for as far as I am concerned animals lives are important as well has humans.
I am very passionate about many topics to do with sociology and human nature that I will be discussing in my upcoming blogs and I would love your views and thoughts on these subjects as well, even if they happen to disagree with mine. Discussion and debate is wonderful for learning about other ways of seeing the world so please feel free to leave your true feeling about what I write.
I love reading, always have and always will. Books are places of discovery and escapism. A book I havn’t read is tantalising and I already mourn the books I will never have time to read. Perhaps this is why I like studying so much (I am not a geek!!). Studying requires so much reading and I know I could cut this time in half if I did not become so distracted with reading articles irrelevant to my current assignment.
I love my adorable husband and daughter and I love that I live in beautiful Queensland (Australia for those who don’t know where it is). I enjoy our animals and love how they can make me smile no matter how down I feel.
I hope that reading my blogs will inspire others to write, read, learn and laugh.
Thanks for stopping by 🙂
